This war was Held in Rabi-ul-Awwal 37 Hijri, Between Hazrat Ameer-ul-Momineen, Successor and Son in Law of Holy Prophet Imam Ali Ibn-e-Abi Taalib, and Hazrat Ameer Maviya Ibn-e-Abu Suffiyan. The purpose of the war was that Imam Ali was Caliph of Islam and he didn't allow any one to create his individual state with in the state of Islam.Hazrat Ameer Mavia was not ready to give up his Territory i-e Syria.
